The “84 Kosh Yatra” is the 252 kilometers (Chaurasi or 84 kos in hindi) journey (pilgrimage) of the Braj Area which includes 12 Forests (Van), 24 Gardens, 20 Kunds(Ponds) and village like Barsana, Nand Gaon, Vrindavan, Mathura, Kosi, Radha Kund and Govardhan etc. It is a Seven Day journey. There are many rituals to do during the pilgrimage of the ‘Braj’ Bhoomi but “Chaurasi Kos Yatra” is considered as the most virtuous one among all!. 2 Goverdhan Parikrama Govardhan mountain is situated at a distance of 25 km from Mathura on the Mathura-Deeg road. According to the legend, Lord Krishna kept this mountain (Giriraj Parvat) on his little finger (finger) for seven days and nights to save the Brajwasis from the fierce rains and storms caused by the anger of Indra, the king of the gods. 21 km

4 Barsana Parikrama This place is 47 km away from Mathura and is famous as the holy land of Shri Radhaji, the joyous power of Lord Shri Krishna. This place is situated on the slope of a mountain about 200 feet high. The name of this hill is Brahatsanu or Brahmasanu. There are holy places like Mangarh Vilas Garh and Mor Kuti. 7 km

7 Gokul Parikrama  

Gokul is situated on the picturesque banks of the Yamuna, 10 km from Mathura. According to the Puranas, after being born in Kansa’s prison, Vasudev left baby Krishna hiding from Kansa and left Gokul across the Yamuna, where his childhood was spent.
